The Australian government has unveiled a new website promoting ecommerce at www.digitalbusiness.gov.au
Launched by the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, (and now also the Minister Assisting the Prime Minister on Digital Productivity) Senator Stephen Conroy, the new website is intended to help Australian businesses and community groups take advantage of online opportunities.
The website replaces the e-business guide and e-strategy guide websites, which were developed in 2004 and 2006 and still attracted a large number of visitors. (Previous Australian government ecommerce advisory publications include the Australian Guidelines for Electronic Commerce issued by the Department of the Treasury in 2006 and the Australian e-Commerce Best Practice Model, released by the Australian Government in May 2000)
